Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Representative to manage and process payroll and benefits administration for our dynamic manufacturing workforce. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using Paylocity, a strong understanding of payroll compliance, and familiarity with the unique needs of a manufacturing environment, including hourly, shift-based, and union/non-union employee populations.
Key Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees using Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Maintain and audit payroll records, timekeeping data, and personnel transactions (new hires, terminations, promotions)

Administer benefit programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, and leave programs (FMLA, disability, etc.)

Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, timekeeping, deductions, and benefits with a high level of customer service

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations

Collaborate with HR and finance teams to support reporting, audits, and month-end payroll reconciliation

Assist with open enrollment and benefits education sessions

Coordinate with manufacturing supervisors to ensure timekeeping accuracy across shifts and departments
Qualifications:

3+ years of payroll and benefits experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting

Proficiency with Paylocity is required

Solid understanding of federal and state payroll laws, tax reporting, and benefit regulations

Experience with hourly, shift-based, and multi-state payrolls preferred

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with union environments and collective bargaining agreements

Knowledge of timekeeping systems and integrations (e.g., Paylocity Time & Labor)

HR or payroll certification (e.g., FPC, CPP, SHRM-CP) a plus
