GI clinic looking for medical assistant to mainly assist with endoscopies. Temp to hire Schedule: Sunday Off Monday 6:30AM – 5:00PM Tuesday Off Wednesday 6:30AM – 5:00PM Thursday 6:30AM – 5:00PM Friday 8:30AM – 7:00PM Every other Saturday, with another day off during the week Responsibilities: Assist with endoscopic procedures and patient care under the direction of RN Preparation of endoscopic equipment, assisting doctors and nurses during procedures, decontamination and care of endoscopic equipment and supplies Monitoring supplies for reordering, tracking equipment sent out for repair, maintaining decontamination room logbooks Coordinates the efforts of the technicians in all Ors and the Soiled Workroom and reports problems or potential problems to the Nurse Manager Assures correct documentation is recorded Maintains patient confidentiality Ensures procedure room is set up for the day Set up the OR endoscopy area and decontamination room for the day Requirements: GI Technician or Medical Assistant Certification preferred BLS Certification 1 year of medical assistant experience or endoscopy/OR experience Â
