We are working with a 350 unit Class A property in the King of Prussia area who looking for their next Assistant Manager!
An Assistant Property Manager will assist the Property Manager in managing all aspects of a property, including tenant relations, maintenance, and financial operations. Key responsibilities include assisting with leasing, managing tenant communications, coordinating maintenance, and providing administrative support.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years in a Leasing/APM or full APM position with a Market Rate or Class A level property.
Pay is in the $24-28/hour range based on exprience with great benefits and bonuses based on property performance.
Responsibilities:
Leasing and Tenant Relations:
- Assisting with the leasing process, including property tours, application processing, and lease agreements.
- Handling tenant inquiries, complaints, and maintenance requests.
- Maintaining positive tenant relations and ensuring compliance with lease terms.
Maintenance and Operations:
- Coordinating with contractors and vendors for property maintenance and repairs.
- Inspecting property and common areas for maintenance needs and reporting issues.
- Assisting with the preparation of work orders and scheduling maintenance tasks.
Financial Management:
- Assisting with rent collection, accounting, and financial reporting.
- Preparing and reviewing invoices for approval.
- Assisting with budget preparation and management.
Administrative Support:
- Providing general administrative support to the Property Manager, including filing, record-keeping, and communication.
- Assisting with marketing and advertising of vacant properties.
- Managing tenant files and records.
Compliance:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including fair housing laws.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Other Responsibilities:
- May perform property inspections, coordinate with vendors for services like landscaping and security, and assist with special projects.
- May assist with the turnover process for new leases and lease renewals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Basic accounting and bookkeeping skills.
- Computer proficiency, including knowledge of property management software.
- Understanding of property management practices and procedures.
- High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Some experience in property management or related field preferred
