Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of financial accounting and reporting for our multi-entity business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Develop and maintain strong internal controls across all entities.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and present clear and concise reports to senior management.
Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements in Rhode Island.
Collaborate with other members of the senior management team on strategic initiatives and business growth plans.
Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function.
Actively participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Optimize systems and processes (ERP, CRM, financial workflows)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
Minimum of 3+ years of controller environment accounting experience.
Proven expertise in GAAP and financial reporting, including consolidations.
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated strategic thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Strong analytical and financial analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
