Title: Surgical Scheduler (Ophthalmology), $23/hour
Contract position
Pay rate: $20-23/hour
Schedule: 40 hours/week, 7:30AM – 4:00PM
Specialty: Ophthalmology
Location: Boston, MA
Requirements:
- HS diploma or equivalent, Bachelors or Associates degree preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in a medical setting
- Experience working in ophthalmology a plus
- Experience with surgical booking required, preferably in ophthalmology a plus
- At least 1-3 years of medical administrative experience
- EMR experience:
- Experience with Epic a plus
- Experience working with patients to obtain referrals for pre-surgical appointments
- Experience working directly with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations
- Experience assembling surgery packets and confirming that they are obtained by the pre-admission office
- Experience maintaining the surgical schedule
